Buika cantará en 3 conciertos de Chick Corea con motivo de su 70 cumpleaños en Blue Note de NY

From Nov. 18 through 20 he’ll expand on the flamenco stirrings of his 1976 album “My Spanish Heart” with an ensemble that includes the magnetic singer Concha Buika and the meticulous guitarist Niño Josele — an excellent idea.

18 al 20 de Noviembre en los conciertos de Chick Corea en el Blue Note de NY tendrá como invitados a la cantante Concha Buika, el guitarrista Niño Josele y Jorge Pardo.

Tonight's show is an exploration of Corea’s enduring love for Spanish and Latin music. He has assembled a brand new band of world-class Latin musicians, including flautist Jorge Pardo, guitarist Niño Josele, bassist Carles Benavent, and the Spanish singing star Concha Buika. Jeff Ballard, Corea’s drummer in the band Origin, will be flying in from his home in Spain for these shows.

Benavent and Pardo previously joined with Corea for The Ultimate Adventure, which won two Grammy Awards in 2007. They also played on Corea’s 2005 album Rhumba Flamenco. Buika’s 2008 album Nina en Fuego was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Album of the Year.
